START (Set Time Aside to Read Together) focuses on pre-kindergarten readiness skills and is suitable for ages 3 to 5. The program consists of story-time, songs, rhymes, finger-plays, and crafts. Separately, the parents (with an assistant) spend a half-hour creating various simple take-home booklets for their children, to encourage reading and time together as a family
