Something fishy happens in La Riviere every year on the last Sunday in May, and this year, on May 26th, 2019, it will be no different at La Riviere & Community Recreation Centre. Hundreds will come out to see just what is going on.
What is going on? A Fish Fry! Definitely a hidden gem, especially for people who live outside the area, this is the home of one awesome fish fry, the best in Manitoba. You can’t beat pickerel right out of Lake Winnipeg for some of the best tasting fish ever and pickerel is just what is ordered for La Riviere’s fish fry on May 26th , from 4:00 to 6:30pm. All are welcome to attend.
Enjoy fish that comes straight from the barbeque, steaming hot, golden and crispy. Hearty helpings of baked potato, coleslaw and homemade beans and dinner roll plus all the trimmings will complement the fish. The meal is rounded out by the perfect portion of vanilla ice cream and beverages of your choice.
Profits from this event will go towards fulfilling the mandate of La Riviere & Community Recreation Association.
Prices have yet to be determined, and tickets are purchased at the door. Reservations are not necessary, but come early, There is plenty of room to eat, meet and mingle.
