Ten Thousand Villages Brandon is taking part in an exciting opportunity to host Bunyaad Rugs during the Bunyaad Rugs cross-Canada rug tour. The rugs will be coming to our community from April 4-22nd 2024. These fair-trade hand-knotted, heirloom quality rugs from Pakistan will be on display and for sale during the Fair-Trade Rug Event in our Ten Thousand Villages store at 829 Rosser Avenue. We expect to receive approximately three hundred rugs which vary in size from 2’x3’ to 9’x12’ and which feature classic to contemporary style rugs.
We will be holding our Rug Kick-off Event on April. 4th in-store from 4-6 p.m. and will feature Bunyaad Rug directors Yousef Chaman and Jenni Leister, who will share stories about the rugs and the artisans who make them. We will also showcase live local artists painting on site, live local musicians sharing their music, snacks, giveaways, prizes and more!
