Everyone is invited to stop by for a drive-by fish fry on Sunday, September 19th, 2021 from 4:00-6:30pm at Blair Morrison Hall, 504 Broadway Street, La Riviere.
Instead of dine-in eating, patrons are asked to drive their vehicles up to the lane north of the community hall to give their orders to carhops and then pay for their meals, which will be delivered to them in their vehicles to take home to enjoy. The campground and playground also have seating outdoors, or you can tailgate it too, if you so desire.
The buttery, crispy pickerel fillets come Lake Winnipeg at Gimli and are cooked on the grill by our capable Shriners. These will be complemented with hearty helpings of baked potato served with green onions and sour cream, home made coleslaw, homemade baked beans, a dinner roll, and vanilla ice cream for dessert and a bottle of water.
Cost is $20 for two pieces of fish, $10 for one fillet of fish.
Funds raised go to keep La Riviere & Community Recreation Centre doors open as it recovers from the loss of revenue that came with being closed in recent months. The event has been approved by the Public Health Inspector and complies with all current COVID-10 restrictions..
