We have an upcoming June exhibition titled: The God Concept by Callen Froese.
Following is the artist's exhibition statement:
"This exhibition is an exploration of my perception of God, to reconsider Judeo-Christian ideas of divinity and to reclaim trust in my own knowledge. I want to make space for female strength, gender fluidity, equality of all beings, and the questioning of the written word. Through this body of work, I play with my own ideas of spirituality and wrestled with the negative impacts of organized religion.
It is time to acknowledge Mother Earth, reconnect with materials, the soil, our food, our bodies, and emotions. To thank the creatures, plants and fungi we co-exist with. To rebuild relationships with ancestors and honor mysteries. God is much larger than a collection of words written by men. That God is just one concept."
There will be an Artist Talk on Zoom on June 14th. The zoom link will be provided via email upon request.
There will be more virtual opportunities to see the exhibition coming soon! Please call us, email us, or check our Facebook page for updates on the exhibition.
